Surviving the Heat!


In the summer time, especially on hot scorching days we can lose a large amount of electrolytes through sweat.

Electrolytes are electrically charged body minerals that carry electric impulses across the cells and keep fluid levels around body tissues in balance and in the right amount.
 

Muscles are dependent on electrolytes, and if deprived, muscle weakness or cramping will occur. 

Loss of these important minerals can deplete the water in your blood making you feel tired, thirsty and craving salty foods. Simply drinking water is not enough and will actually make the problem worse!
